THE NEW HUNTINGTON: A STORIED VENUE WITH A BOLD VISION

“The Huntington plays an irreplaceable role in making Boston an arts leader. It anchors our cultural life, helps drive our local economy, and is a staple of our thriving arts scene in the heart of the city.” - Martin J. Walsh, Former Mayor of Boston

The Huntington is embracing dramatic change. Our storied venue stands in the heart of our city at the gateway to the Avenue of the Arts, an historic cultural corridor through Boston that links Symphony Hall, the New England Conservatory, MassArt, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the nearby Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. We are expanding our presence at this geographic crossroads where the arts intersect with the diverse neighborhoods of Back Bay, the South End, Roxbury, Mission Hill, and the Fenway, becoming a vibrant communal space for all who live, work, and visit here.

The scale of our ambition extends well beyond our audience of theatre lovers to embrace all who want to see Boston thrive creatively through the arts, business, education, and nonprofit sectors. Our renovated and new public spaces and programs will increase our impact for generations to come.

This is why we have embarked upon a significant cultural campaign that will serve the entire Boston region, the Commonwealth and our nation. In achieving our goal, we will grow the number of our theatrical productions, increase signature partnerships, contribute to Boston’s cultural ecosystem and amplify educational offerings, as well as safeguard our commitment to the community for years to come.
